Photos of Mopti in Mali

Hello
Let's go back and here are some pictures of Mopti:

photo of the mosque to see this beautiful but plastic bags, you want to create bins without Borders without borders or plastic: plastic here is a real calamity. Besides goats and SOther animals eat them, what their causes and entail leurmort occlusions.

Photos Bani River and canoes; Mopti is wedged between the Bani and Niger. That's why it's called as the Venice of Africa. It is a crossroads of people: there are the Bambara, the sores, the Bozo (fishermen), the Songhai, Fulani herders (with their herds) and the Dogon.

When I left Mopti he still had not rained. People are very worried because the crops are falling behind and prices may rise furiously. It is feared new food riots this winter. Last week all Muslims were called to the great stadium to pray together for rain and sacrifices take place everywhere. I know that since it rained a little but not enough. Fulani herders have left the plain would be flooded the already long ago and replaced by rice fields.

Since I learned that Mali now had two planes to bring rain: they move and the clouds take it.

Here 2 pictures of the feast of Fatoma, a village in the bush. People came from all the svillage svoisins. N ets EFET calls for protection for the RLA sprochaines crops; As the sores were hunters they shoot partoutr with old rifles in their honor.

Malim Here the Quranic teacher and his class is just in the house opposite where I live and Malim is a man very impressive and very interesting. As this sotn MLEs these vacancies, it is the school every day. I think he is great with children, even the whip is still in place here ..

road to Dogon country, we leave in the Dogon country as soon as you leave Mopti. The cliff of Bandiagara, pharmaceutical point of this country is 200 km long and 400 to 700 m high.

These women are currently bottom of the cliff but they will go up because they must cross the cliff to reach their village barefoot with their buckets on the head!

That and I'm on top of the cliff Solo eavec my driver assistance and action:

The rest tomorrow Inshallah

Butt Pain On Motorcycle

Hello Sorry I am a little fast and not talkative because I take Jo, Alex and Annie, but the pictures are coming.
Since 2 days one bathes in the world of rugby. Yesterday, Alex did a training with the military, unfortunately the second training with the club had to be canceled because of rain.
This morning he had a working session of theory with 5 coaches and this afternoon they played 2 hours with young women inmates at the prison and then 2 hours with the boys. It was formidabble, women and boys loved it and were immediately was very motivated. Fortunately three coaches of the federation were also there (to translate in Bambara) and they have largely lead the groups. They made contacts with the prison to continue thereafter. Everyone is happy ..... Bises A +

For Alex, who is professor of rugby, we already have had a working meeting today with 6 people in the federation Mali while on leave (effective: I just go a phone call Sunday!) and organized a meeting tomorrow night with the players, members / players Saturday afternoon playing with the young inmates Prison and Sunday morning with the children of the club. Meanwhile it will be a workshop on the theory with the coaches. A maximum work in minimum time. What I like is that when I mentioned that I wanted to bring Alex to play with the prison inmates, people in the federation I immediately offered to accompany us to build something sustainable level of rugby. To see ...
I am delighted to have them there, it makes me a few days of real vacation.

Marriage Invitation In English With Tamil

The Dogon: Villge Tiembara

Hello Here I am in Mopti after 3 days in Dogon.

soon as you leave Mopti to Burkina Faso (east) on the area that we are Dogon.
is made up Bankass 2h30 drive. Solo me the pleasure instead of taking the high road longer and straighter cross the cliff by the first road: Which landscape ...
I do not show pictures today because the internet to shop is installed in ready to wear that also Luggage! .. I am a bit stuck between 4 computers, luggage and other travel bags and shirts on hangers! I dare not put me to 4 feet to connect the camera. I'd make a little montage of the trip arrived in Bamako.

So I got to Bankass with Attaher (Wizard AeA) and Solo (the driver). From there we visited the literacy centers. There are 4 on and 4 on Bankass Dimbal. We met a lot of municipal offices (Mrs. mayors and deputies, etc. ...). These are often new teams because the elections were held two months ago. It allows to introduce ourselves, present the work of AeA and present Attaher is new to the area. On
centers, 4 are already built hard by the people. They are more advanced than people who are still in Mopti in temporary sheds.
alpha centers are funded by AeA and ICCO and are managed by education NGOs (ENDA and ASG). Here alphabétisdatin held in Dogon, Mopti, whereas it was in Bambara. We also meet
the various committees of sponsorship that will be in charge of correspondence with the godparent of AeA. I explain the purpose of association, sponsorship, correspondence, the role of volunteers, the purpose of my visit, etc ... what interests them much because they tell me that if we that volunteers in France to help the school in Africa, they should not give up and do much more!

There are even a workshop for new mail: they are highly motivated and very interested.

Visiting the village of Tiembara (where there is a literacy center) one is greeted by the whole population of learners Center, Chief, and other voillageois and Tamani by 2 players (percussion under the arm) .
I sit in the center on a chair that it brings me and the people fill the room and the others remain at the door or look out the windows. 4 or 5 women approaching one after another to put down before me and each with their craftsmanship to show me. Before you sit down she kneels on the floor before me and bow making oulouolou by mouth (such as Arab women for weddings) to greet me. One shows me how she made pottery, a pile of millet on the stone, another leading cotton all this while we began to discuss with the village chief. It explains that they are society women Serete is that of women not from this village, but were married here. They wear jewels, hats and even a gun to express joy and brotherhood! They are very well integrated and it is they who are in charge of hospitality in the village because they symbolize the agreement.
For the discussion I spoke in French to the assistant of the NGO ASG reflecting the trainer in Bambara village and retranslated to the Dogon population.
When I ask them if they are happy with the center: they applaudissnet all and I only see white teeth partour so they smile. The room is packed.
An old man said "they were asleep and someone came to wake them up" and then they thank. They all applauded again.
I see an enthusiasm for the whole population can learn to read write and count. Everyone tells me benefits, etc. .. Additionally the module they learn many things about everyday life: home care, children, drinking water (how javelisser before drinking, etc. ...). An old man said that women are the most motivated (in groups of parity is respected). It is true that they must stop their small income generating activity as they follow the courses which penalize because it allowed them to win 1000 FCFA per day (1.5 euros). In the group they organized themselves and contribute 50 F / week in a fund to cope with the difficulties of the family: a sick child ...
When I ask them if they want to continue, it's almost a ola of applaudisement.
résultasts in this zone were 84% successful.
must say that in this village children do not attend school because the nearest school is 9 miles! So they walk in the morning, stay all day at school (without eating because of course no canteen) and remake the 9 km in the evening!
At the end of this long interview I was made a demonstration of a course or pass the board and students are reading exercises, writing and arithmetic. What a pleasure to see their joy of success. The trainer

closing with a speech of thanks and he is proud that we come to France to see the center.
Out Tamani players resume and women begin to dance, of course it does not take long for them to invite me to dance with them and here I am in the center with the big pearl necklace that is happening around me neck and cap! What memories
Before leaving women to take me a kilt Dogon (cloth they wear a skirt) to remember .... A follow

Use A Banana To Masterbate

of Travel in Mopti

Hello Here I am arriving in Mopti ...

a city that is flashy and immediately appealing. Although quieter than Bamako, an architecture of its own, wedged between two rivers: the Bani and Niger.
By cons as it is a very picturesque town, near the cliffs of the Dogon, it is very touristy and we see the damage done by tourism. Here the children will not stop begging for candy or even money. "Toubab, give me my gift", "Toubab give me money." There's even one who wanted to get into the water and show me how he swam if I was paying! or they want to be photographed and to charge the camera. That nerd in general but at that moment my camera is broken!

After 8 hours from here I arrived in Bamako Sévaré (15 km from Mopti).
I spend the first night at the hotel Sévaré where I met Flo quite a little woman! She left France 2 years ago to live in the bush to Fatoma and since trying to do a lot for the villagers and obviously this is not always rosy, but it clings and obtietn results. Bush when you hold us! She is currently in the hotel instead of the director on vacation. Like anything there are some very nice meetings and no chance ......

Since Friday I am housed in the family of a friend Badara Bamako. I called just to give me the coordinates of his cousin Mopti wanting it advises me that a hotel in Mopti (otherwise I could see the suddenly I was going to stay 8 days to 15 km away!) vlan and no way to go to a hotel but with her sister. It is in the historic center of Mopti and lives with her eldest daughter and her 3 girls. Tallo regularly, the cousin picks me up on a motorcycle to go to tea or visiting people or Mopti. The African hospitality ... Now how soft dilemma for welcoming me and thank them for a week?
Saturday morning I met people from an organization that works to help and support for people living with HIV. Was exchanged for 2 hours and it was very rich and very moving. I will do a subsequent post on the situation of AIDS Mali.
Yesterday we went to the Feast of the wintering Fatoma. Grance is a festival that celebrates the winter and asked the guards for crops. The traditional dance groups dance and play music and remember the 1st inhabitants were hunters, they shoot ds gunshots everywhere!

this morning meeting with elected officials and representatives of the sponsoring committee (for AEA) from the village Fatoma: I explained the purpose of sponsorship and correspondence. We must make a first working session while I'm still here.
This is Sunday afternoon then rest at the hotel where I was invited Flo the pool and chat
+++++ Well then water it gets really hot too! A +

Hindu Wedding In White Dress

Prison Bollé

Hello

So Friday I went to prison Bollé for the official handover of the donation of the Orange Mali Foundation. They made a donation for six months stock drug = 1 million FCFA (= 1,500 Euros), they commit to 1 year should therefore renew in 6 months.
There are 2 prisons for women / girls and beside those of juvenile males.
Women are detained with their children until the age of 5 years.
The ceremony was a celebration of 2 pm with keynote addresses from each party, there was also a song of a woman griot (owned) and a performance by the youth theater company he owns. The inmates also attended the ceremony.
They do a lot for rehabilitation: learning, gardening, sewing, embroidery, art / theater.
The pharmacy is managed by an association that includes Maya-TON:
A president, a treasurer
nurse for women in prison, a prison nurse for men
They do a great job.
For now there is also a French doctor who has volunteered time to time consult but returned to France in late July.
So far the association was supported by Terre des Hommes Switzerland. Unfortunately they no longer have funds (crisis?) And must abandon their partnership. Result
members of the association no longer receive wages at all for 6 months and yet they continue to work countless hours. The nurse Mariam has 5 children at home and currently has more good to help prepare and here he takes 2 hours to prepare food on the charcoal fire: Picard and frozen foods have not yet come there! Besides the clothes to be washed by hand. Unfortunately the 4 elders are boys and thus can not prepare! With Valentine (the doctor) we tried to motivate his boys to learn to cook .... To see
Mussa pdt actively seeking new partners (with the help of Dr. Valentine) in order to continue their action.

When I see that I am happy to give them a helping hand (even if it is only a drop in the bucket compared to what they donnnent them) and it puts into perspective a lot because I do not forget I'm on vacation (paid please!) and I will get my salary at the end of the month!
They were thrilled to see me because there are a lot of work reorganization in 2 drug stores and I find myself more in my element!
On top of that I get a lot of experience because it allows me to know other "worlds" such as prisons, do you think I could go introduce myself to the Sante prison or Fleury Merogis and it would make me see everything as I did here?
There I really find the purpose of my trip and I leave the center without splitting my time between the 2 at least for the time I'd be in Bamako. Second
rationale happy tonight: Anne Marie
a teacher friend arrived Friday night for 2 weeks I took him to the nursery this morning it will go to the center in the morning: at least I used to give them a real instit! for working with the largest and most form the instit and afternoon she will go to the nursery. This morning we are past 2:30, we play and we even give the baby bottles. Last night
2 new babies have arrived and a lost child!

Good looks busy this week as far as I'm leaving Thursday to Mopti for 2 weeks. Voila voila

Set Autopilot In Beechcraft Baron 58 Fsx

ECWA

Okay so for less Aguer blog, go see the comments of the previous message; These comments allow a discussion and I have the answers in this post.
Otherwise I'm a little lazy on the pictures because it is a little long to load but I have others to show you.

Work continues at the center even though now it is holiday and there beauocup fewer children coming, I do not know why because they are there (they are not parties on the Riviera!). By morning they were all about 20. It was the game bachelor's largest and a game of cards with words to the smallest, Yesterday I had given them the games they like Mikado and as many dominoes. The leaders told me that if I organized the trips that I plan to: National Museum (for the largest) and the zoo (for children) they will return; We'll see. Safiatou must learn about the budget for the bus and keeps me informed. At first it will take between 20 000 and 30 000 FCFA (between 30 and 45 euros) to an output bus!

Yesterday I went to WAEC = Listening Center Reception and Orientation in the center of Bamako. They accommodate street children 7 to 18; They listen and guide them towards learning a trade, a foster home, trying to reconnect with family, according to the wishes of the child .... But this center is malfunctioning: Children arrive in the evening around 17 pm when it is the "down" for educators ie they leaving work. Children can sleep there in the yard and see a educ morning from 7 am, but there are also great to come to gain access to water and therefore take a bit all over the place and it seems it gets more a place of debauchery. At noon the children leave to find food in the street. Yesterday morning they had recorded 5!
is the mayor of the district that pays the staff, but there is no other budget.
AEA has been a partner some time ago and renovated the courtyard and all places, they also fund the training of educators. They will also provide meals for children and they noticed that the street children coming into the ECWA had 3 meals / day, while very often children in homes have only one meal per day: So it is known and children housed at the center came to eat!
I 've been told that international NGOs withdrew from the center because it does not work well. I know more with the social samu.

Yesterday I had lunch with the coordinator of the association ASMAE / Sister Emmanuelle who opens a program for the first year in Mali. She is very nice and there was considerable discussion;
Besides Annie and Sylvia arrived on Friday for their site ASMAE with Anne Marie also to be in the nursery. It will be my pleasure to share a bit of life here with them because it's a bit frustrating not being able to speak freely is true that I shared all this with David, although I saw much less things because we were mostly visiting family or friends but he understood my astonishment. I like this blog well just to share with you: it's a bit my valve.

Okay so I told Cecilia that pharmacist and I asked her if she knew with whom I could be helpful to be a little more comfortable in my boots as in education, she told me about the association MAYATON, led by Moussa Bagayoko: he cares for the health of women in prison and children! Women's side they are there sometimes with their baby if it is not weaned so there is a creche. On the side of children I think they're teenagers.
She called and he was delighted to meet me as soon receives a gift of medicine from the Orange Foundation and is overwhelmed. There is also a French doctor who makes the consultations and from late July.
I took appointment with him tomorrow afternoon at the prison, I think this will be another highlight !
Following the next issue ..... Happy holidays to
Juillette
Hugs to all

Nebit (I'll)
bofé Kan, (I hope I'm not going to let my tongue once more)
Allah Kassou here dama
If you want to know Does that mean you have to go see the comments of the previous message!
